Kees Cook has presented in at least 2020 and 2021 at Linux plumbers on compiler security hardening features used or starting to get used in the linux kernel. It seems the book ought to cover at least somewhere each of the hardening techniques mentioned in these presentations. The 2021 presentation lives at https://linuxplumbersconf.org/event/11/contributions/1026/.
