Affects font rendering in Chrome even when switched off #58

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install MacType on Windows 8. Choose 'Manual' mode. Choose 'Optimised for
Win 7'
2. Do not switch on MacTray. Open Microsoft Word 2010. Open MacType Wizard, Go
to Process List, enable winword.exe
3. Go back to Word 2010, open a document and check that fonts are rendering as
desired.
4. Close Word 2010
5. Open Google Chrome
6. Navigate and login to Tumblr.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Fonts are distorted and poorly rendered in a way you see neither when MacType
is enabled, nor before MacType was enabled. Similar problem also exists (on
Chrome) with eBay and other sites which use several kinds of font rendering.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Chrome Version 24.0.1312.60 m on Windows 8, MacType from Installer
MacTypeInstaller_2012_1022_0.exe

Chrome has a sandbox that protect external injection including MacType.
therefore, you must enable mactype before you launch chrome.

moreover, if you switch off mactype during browsing, you will notice that the
some of the characters in chrome is still in render state. That is because
chrome has a internal font bitmap cache which caches all used characters, you
need to restart chrome to disable rendering completely.
