Meeting Recap 03-25

Cool, so this is late, considering this meeting happened a week ago. Being at home has been hard on my time management, but I will get myself together! At this meeting, not much happened, so hopefully, I can keep this short and sweet. As usual, I'm going to use the meeting agenda (#43) to write this. Let me know if I'm missing anything! The only special thing to mention is that this meeting occurred on Wednesday instead of Monday. Note: I'm writing this Today, but I'll going to act as I wrote it right after the meeting.

Recap:

Unmasking the Teen Titans

• Action on Lauren and Shannon!
• Not much to report.
• We're going to see the progress we get through this weekend and make a plan for moving forward. If not much occurs, we'll probably still move forward and then make changes as we go along.
• Progress from now on will be finishing the significant parts of our project as the semester is almost up.

Network Analysis

• I will be honest with the dudes, I can't remember if we talked about this or not. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
• Amber is still making progress on her network analysis, and at the moment, I'm not too sure what the use of network analysis will be for our project. I will think of more ideas later.
• Shannon's working on the clean up of the <char> tags.
• wait i got an idea

Adding coordinates and timestamps

• We will need to make time to put the timestamps on the episodes. If we find it's hard to sync our schedules, a solution could be one member doing them for all episodes. We could also carve out time during a meeting to do this.
• I'm going to experiment with the coordinates. We plan to use San Francisco. I have an idea of how we can choose coordinates, and I will explain it more at our next meeting.
• Amber mentioned she could add to the Schematron about the coordinates. yay!

Map - QGIS

• Thank you for your wisdom @frabbitry
• To do the animations, we will need to download a plugin called TimeMapper.
• I didn't mention this at the meeting because it only dawned on me, but one member, probably me, will be in charge of making the map. I will get more into this at the next meeting.

Project Checkpoint 4

• As we examined it, we had Project Checkpoint 4 done. We just didn't get as much work as we wanted to do. Fiona will be giving us comments later.
• Project Checkpoint 5 is the finished product, so I might make an issue this week or next week describing what we want to do to call our project finished.

Schematron

• See Adding coordinates and timestamps for some updates about Schematron.
• We will need to add ref to the <char> tags. I think that was the only thing we needed to do.

That's all! As I said, we really didn't discuss anything due to the fact we were still reeling from the changes happening, but we will talk more at our next meeting. This was really short, so I'm kind of proud of myself. It feels like I'm missing something, so feel free to let me know! See you guys at the next meeting.

So good news I fixed all the <char> tag stuff including adding the ref attribute! At least, I'm pretty sure I got them all. I know I did them with find/replace & regex and I know how you'd rather go through, but I skimmed and they all seemed fine. I was working on SVG stuff this fine morning when I realized I somehow missed episode 1 from last season, so I got in and fixed that real quick.

Speaking of SVG, I'm finally getting around to this. You'll see on the site I added a separate page for graphs. There's only 1 up now and there's nothing explaining it underneath, but I have to go through and fix some stuff on all of them, but if all goes well, they should all be up by end of the week. I might add little blurb with each of them explaining why the person who spoke the most did but who's to say.

Another idea i had regarding the SVGs was a way to show/hide them on the episode they go with, but alas idk how to do that and i don't have time to look into it right now haha
