Stutters (1sec pauses) after latest update #15

Aircraft unflyable , getting stutters as big as 1 sec pauses frequently after update, also am using the latest B787-XE update

studio051 commented 4 years ago

As compared to the A320 moded , the 787-xe takes big dips in FPS like some how its thread are not optimized or something .

Can you tell us if this only happens when specific pages on the (for example) MFD are displayed?

Nope Tried all variations with different displays off, even outside view . Like when the plane starts to roll on the runway , the long stutters start happening , few spikes and the fps goes down from 30 to 16 or 18 then comes back up , then to 24s so there is apparently a lot going on .

Compared to the modded A320 on the same runway , it takes off at a smooth 30fps , no stutters and variations.

Hello Gang. I can confirm the stutters issue. I should also mention that I have observed a couple of instances of loss of control with this latest version. Like landing at PHLI, ILS captured but the glideslope never did. I ended up having to disco the A/P and go manual. Just seconds prior to touchdown, aircraft became unresponsive which ended up leading to a hard landing. Getting there but still work to do.

I also have stuttering issue - must admit I thought it was just me at first - but I can correlate with everything said above.

I suppose this stuttering is related to the other issue thread i opened an hour ago. I notice that the 4 cockpit displays are not linked/mirrored, and thus demand twice the calculations than the default view (which is having the right and left side mirrored). The A320NX team said they also wanted to split up the screens but had to abandon the idea because of the large fps hit.

August78 commented 4 years ago

May I suggest reverting back to the the default setting of mirrored displays, and concentrating your efforts on other aspects of the plane instead?

TheOriginalBabu commented 4 years ago

that was an asobo change if anything,

August78 commented 4 years ago

Asobo didn't split the displays on their default planes. They are still mirrored.
