This Moodle plugin allows teachers to hide questions that have been correctly answered in previous attempts. This can be useful in preventing students from seeing the correct answers and encourages them to attempt the questions again.
Attempt a quiz as a student that has qtype of multiple choice, shortanswer, etc. and purposefully get a few of the answers incorrect. Save all and submit.
As a teacher, override the mark/grade for one of the incorrectly marked questions. Save.
As a student, re-attempt the quiz. The manually overridden/graded question that was auto-marked incorrect doesn't show up, and there is a green tick underneath that question, showing that it is now marked correct. Get one of the other incorrect questions correct this time. Save all and submit.
Now you will see that the manually overridden/graded question has been marked incorrect, but you never got to re-attempt it because it was marked correct, hidden, and you couldn't access it, but now you've gotten it wrong! Not good.
Suggestions for improvement:
On re-attempt, show the question where the grade was overridden in yellow so that they can re-attempt it. Also show the manual grade they received, with any feedback given.
OR
On re-attempt, make sure the manual grade is the grade that is used for the final grade instead of auto-marking to incorrect again.
Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention and for your suggestions to improve the plugin.
We are working on fixing it and will update the plugin shortly.
