I have installed the addin to fusion 360, however the button does not show up in the "Modify" drop down menu.

Have you started the Add-In after installing it? Once you have added the Add-In to your \API\AddIns folder you need to:

  1. In the toolbar, go to UTILITIES > Scripts and Add-Ins.
  2. Run the Add-In from the list.

Afterwards it should appear in the Mesh > Modify section.

Another user might have figured out the issue, regarding the naming of Fusion360 addin directories: https://github.com/lmueller27/Fusion360PatternsAndTextures/issues/7#issuecomment-2339333734
