Super nice first version folks!

Do we want to keep listing only Twitter-like clients?

The blogging client habla.news could be there as well, but it feels off in the current list.

This is how Karnage structured an app directory: https://www.nostrapps.com/

Iris should be removed from the list. They merged with Snort a long time ago. The Iris domain is essentially a white labelled Snort client now.

Thank you!

Nostr is not limited to one type of app. We should not limit that either.

The blogging client habla.news could be there as well, but it feels off in the current list.

Sorting depends on what people may find most useful. Whether they'll look first for their operating system or the type of app they want to try. We're early enough that it's probably the operating system.

Perhaps, in the future, we could also have an option to sort by either of those options.

For now, we could have labels for the type of app: Twitter-like, blogging...

Thank you, trosel, for pointing that out and including a source.

How do we feel about PR #9 adding Nootti & Nostur

I'm unfamiliar with Nootti. I don't know who develops it.

I'd love a developer's perspective on Nostur. Fabian has been doing good work on onboarding and other user-friendly details.

Nostur is very good. I have not heard about Nootti yet.

How do we feel about PR https://github.com/lnbits/nostr.org/pull/9 adding Nootti & Nostur

I've never heard of Nootti and there is neither a link to who the developer is nor a link to a code repo. I really don't feel comfortable adding it to a recommended client list in such a state. The client list on the .org website should be reserved for very well tested and well vetted clients, in my opinion.

I'd love a developer's perspective on Nostur. Fabian has been doing good work on onboarding and other user-friendly details.

Nostur has been around a long time and Fabian does a great job with it. Up until Primal adding multi-account last week, it was the only multi-account app on iOS. It's maybe worth adding Nostur in a separate commit for now.

Lume looks great, but would it be better to wait until the rewrite is done? I asked the team over there what they think: https://github.com/lumehq/lume/discussions/173

edit: yeah hold off on lume for now

elidyweaver commented 3 months ago

Thank you for your feedback @trosel @vitorpamplona Added a PR #11 based on your comments

Holding off on Lume until rewrite

Added: Nostur Habla Nostrudel

Removed: Iris, because it is a fork of Snort

Did not add Nootti: It does not appear to be open source, and we're unfamiliar with it. Digging a little deeper, it's an app made by the PR #9 requester, Petri Kajander - for posting on Bluesky, Mastodon and Nostr. The blog tag on Habla News is a great idea. It makes me think of other tags that could be added. For example: https://satellite.earth/ is a Community focused app kinda like reddit.

Maybe you could add tags based on the NIPs that they are compatible with? For example: NIP-23 would be "blog" apps, NIP-72 would be "community" apps
