That was the trigger for this issue https://github.com/lnug/lnug.github.io/issues/79
Unfortunately, Github pages doesn't allow 301 Redirects, which is the cleanest way to do it :disappointed: . However, we can create a blank html page with an http meta-tag, it might be okay to do so.
@julienbrunuk - yeah I think that would be the only way to do it.
Fortunately though, Google has figured it out already:
https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=lnug+sponsor
Bing is still showing the old result but its below the new one. I cant imagine it will keep a page that is 404ing for long.
Some of the urls from the old website are still in google and giving some dodge results, try searching:
lnug sponsors
We need to add some permanent redirects to maintain that google juice.
