So there are a few alternatives like https://church.io/, http://table.org, and http://www.acstechnologies.com/products/the-city (not all are open source). How is this app different?

• Focus on helping organize CGs at a higher level
  • Pastors/Elders know where the groups are and who is in-charge and part of them
  • Starting a new group is easy
• Focus on helping CG organizers
  • Contact info for members
  • Invite new members

Initially this app tries to do the following:

• Church goers can signup for being added to a group
• The admin can add signed up members to an existing group
• The admin can create new groups
• The group leader gets an email when a new member is added

Only the admin/manager has access to this app for now.
