Cannot use "open in" function on iOS 8 #154

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. I have itransmission installed via appaddicts isigncloud on a non-jailbroken
iPad
2. Issue happened after I updated to the new iOS 8

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

When I click on "open in" for example idownloader it doesn't do anything,
before iOS 8 it would open idownloader
and show me the file, now nothing happens I manually check idownloader and
there is no file there.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
IPad Air ios 8.0.2

Please provide any additional information below.

Would really appreciate your help because all the torrent files I presently
have on itransmission are no longer accessible. Thank you.

I'm having the same issue. Can't open .cbr files in any app I've tried.
Previously was able to open them in nearly any reader. Any updates to this
issue?

iPad Air 2

iOS 8.1 Jailbroken

I just downloaded itransmission and it downloaded the torrent just as I
expected it to, however, I can't open the file in any other application, and so
it is therefore useless. Since there is no way of accessing the content through
itransmission, downloading any more torrents would be pointless, and so would
using this application. Please help.

I put iTransmission on my iPhone and use it to download (it has more space
anyway) and then I use a file transfer app (such as myMediaHD or Filer Lite) to
wirelessly transfer the download to my iPad if I want it there and then again
to the app I want to use. Works pretty good most of the time, and for whatever
reason, "Open In" works perfectly fine on my iPhone 6, iOS 8.1.2. This is the
work around that I came up with, hope it helps.

Same issue on an iPad Air on iOS 8.3. .cbr files used to have the option to
"open in" comic zeal or comic rack. not just shows mail, facebook, imessage,
and pintrest. same issue on dropbox so I am guessing its a iOS issue.
