Follow Ups from 9/7 Meeting #38

  1. Go through 5 apps with nice onboarding flows to see how they handle them? @ianherri
  2. Can we preview the UI within the onboarding? @shanejearley
  3. How will people add the UI to their themes? @shanejearley
  4. Probably don’t need to collect payment out of the gate (it might be too)... a. It would take extra time b. Contact Shopify and see if they can ignore the fees for the tips if we bill through them? @ianherri
  5. Might not need to get fulfillment information.. a. Need to review fulfillment API? @ianherri / @shanejearley b. What about self-fulfillment?

Decision

  1. Customization of the UI of the tip card (default) FYI @shanejearley a. Drop down list of emojis, with none option. b. Inherit the font from the theme, line height. c. Other customization.

  1. So, I just chatted w/ Shopify, and it sounds like we might be able to use the Shopify billing API to 'charge' merchants for the tips they've accrued, and request that they do not count those charges as revenues to us. For now, I think we can safely not build a secondary billing feature.
