Noting this here for reference. Some rationalisation may need to be done and for now BHCC will alter the view to suit our needs so this is more documenting the divergance.
Currently BHCC uses the following filters on events
Search
Location (as a automcomplete geo filter)
Start Date
End Date
Cost (as two radios, all and free)
If on an events channel then content designer configurable facets like directories.
Localgov Drupal default filters are.
Neighbourhood (taxonomy refernece)
Price (taxonomy refernece)
Category (like channels, but its a filter?)
Date widget with start and end date and select today / tommorow etc date range.
There is an overarching question on if these can be configured by content designers (without giving them access to the view). Eg. sometimes there are events that are always free, so having a cost / price filter is actully confusing as it suggests some events are chargeable.
