Hi timothy, can you run the application as follows:
type Winkey+r
type cmd.exe
type 'cd <path to your character builder folder>'
type cbloader.exe -v > log.txt
then attach the log file to this ticket by clicking 'attach a file' and
navigating to your character builder folder and selecting log.txt

Urgh. Getting an "access is denied" response. I'll kick this until I get a log
file and then attach it.

I have the same problem and also get an "Access is denied" response.
Additionally, I had everything working normally until somehow my entire
CharBuilderFull_p folder was deleted. I recovered using system restore from a
point just minutes before the folder disappeared. Now I have the above problem.
CBLoader seems to run, but no Character Builder afterward.

I found that I had extracted the CBLoader files into the Character Builder
folder AND the CharBuilderFull_p folder, so I removed the files and extracted
the files again to the CharBuilderFull_p folder. Now the CBLoader runs, but it
merges all the .part files each time before loading the Character Builder even
though there is no new content.

Three times is a charm, evidently. I have not edited any .part files nor added
any new ones through this entire process, but after the third time running
CBLoader, it did not merge everything again and loaded the character builder
just fine. Weird...

While I still can't get it to produce a log file, I did remove all of the .part
files from the custom folder and try again, just on the off chance that one of
them was making things difficult. No change, sadly.

@nephylos That actually makes sense. and sounds like the information I needed
to solve Issue 32. Thanks!
@timothy.walsh you can get the same effect by running cbloader.exe -v without
the > log.txt part, that might fix your access denied problems.
If you can copy/paste the output from that, it is all I need.

I have the same issue when I forgot to copy in the default file.

That is, in fact, exactly what it was. Urgh, I am full of shame.
