Ensure Python2/3 compatibility for Ferrum (Talos-1 operating system) #27

Ensure that the build pass on Ubuntu18.04 and Ferrum. This means a little modification of the CMakeLists.txt. And some code modification to ensure python2 vs python3 compatibility.
