I don't think it's completely necessary. Most of the physics is already implemented.
I don't know, but the flying monsters seems to have hard time maintaining their speed...
Adding a Physics engine would improve the response time of the game but it would take a lot of work to integrate. Maybe we could put this as something to do after the Alpha Release?
Do we want a limited (not full blown like Box2D) physics engine that could work with speed and collision?
