openssl-devel not installed, no warning in build #171

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Build shellinabox on a box without openssl-devel
2. Try to start with SSL, you'll get the SSL protocol error
3. build/generate certs thinking it's an odd cert problem :)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

If openSSL is not enabled a nice debug output would be nice so, or in general 
if you suspect this to work by default it should fail the ./configure step.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Redhat 5.5, on Amazon EC2, shellbox 2.10
