Up Just had a look at python poppler bindings for glib, basically dead since late 2013. So I guess this project is just dead then? (not trying to flame or else, just wondering if I must move on. If you moved on, for where?) Thanks
I don't want to be unpolite by advertising the fork here, but since you asked: You probably want to have a look at pdfarranger in case you are still looking.
thanks @dreua for the head's up. You made my day. Gonna thanks this kind forker now.
Hello logari81 Thanks for this awesome software. It has been part of my minimalist installed-software list on main machine, for years. I love it, it has come handy in many occasions.
Gentoo marked its ebuild for removal, beginning of December, for lack of an ebuild maintainer! On my part, I think I never took the time to reach you before. And I think both those sad facts are simply due to the fact that sourceforge is a repeller.
Please move the code here, on gitlab, or sourcehut, anywhere. Then do a release; if only to advertise the project-page change. So distros slowly learn about that.
I deem this move worth it even if you don't take the time to migrate the history/bugs... You might end up receiving more visibility. Maybe even help. And rarely -for the community sucks at that- encouragements.
On my part, when visiting sourceforge a few days ago, I thought the project itself was dead. And have been asking myself what it'd take and if I could take it on all that while. Surprise: small and tidy code base. Only it's not visible at first sight in sourceforge interface. This morning I had a doubt, checked commits, found your name, realized you were the -very well alive and still committed- author, searched if you had a github account and tadaaa.
None of this wasted energy is your doing. It boils done to sourceforge being stuck two decades in the past.
Please do every user and yourself a favor, please gain that visibility.
