Struggle setting patterns_dir value #78

When I first started using logstash, I struggled getting this value right. Hopefully the comment makes it clearer what the value of pattern directory should be.

Jenkins standing by to test this. If you aren't a maintainer, you can ignore this comment. Someone with commit access, please review this and clear it for Jenkins to run; then say 'jenkins, test it'.

Thanks Yogi for the comment. Believe this would have been a good candidate for the plugin documentation. Since CLA wasn't signed I am going to close this one - if still a concern we could start with a new PR (or reopen).
