Restore support for influx 0.8 #43

Hey guys, I was wondering if I'm the only one who's still using 0.8 and would like this plugin to support both formats. I'd volunteer to make this configurable. Anyone needs this or objects to making it bilingual?

I'm closing this because I don't need it anymore and nobody else seems to need it either.
