craaash because user is null #7

Hey, checking if you know this issue offhand.

I installed stuff locally and keep constantly running into a crash. Too lazy to debug it but has a patch that gets me working around it here (https://github.com/rameshvk/snorkel/commit/5f4355c9d80cec8ab25e69dcbe36e6d9523f7c6f)
