Another little strategy to incentive people to buy the game sooner is to add a clear note on the steam page, that with each major content update, the plan is to increase the game price by a certain amount every time. Letting them know it might be worth to buy sooner even if they don't plan to play before 1.0
Also, once you'll be certain of what plan you want to move forward with, you should probably make a steam announcement asking people what they think of it and if they're up to having something like that, while presenting what kind of content you would include in it.

Just exploring the idea of introducing a paid DLC for players who want to support the game’s development. I think content should not affect the core gameplay experience.
I want your opinions about this. What would you think? Do you think it would be a good idea to release something like this while the game is in Early Access or release it after the game if fully out?
What content would be in the DLC? Maybe golden items? Like for example golden sledgehammer, axe, pickaxe, duck, teddy bear etc.
