Hi there,

i want to know if it is possible to run sunshine as a service so it is available before i login to the pc. So i can run the Windows PC basically as a gamebox

If it is not possible as service can i hide the cmd somehow?

Next release will allow you to turn it I to a service that starts at boot.

If you wish to test it for yourself, you can grab a copy here:

https://ci.appveyor.com/api/buildjobs/cuqhqogc6ujh1ip1/artifacts/Sunshine-Windows.zip

You'll find a script in the folder tools you must run install-service.bat with admin privileges.

Please note it's still experimental.

Brand new to sunshine. Love it so far!

The terminal mentions it should be elevated for "best experience". The service doesn't seem to run elevated. What does elevation do for the experience, and does the service do those things?

(I did try elevation manually, but I'm not comfortable with all subsequent Applications being elevated. Is that something that can be addressed?)

thanks
