Problem with certificat with Android 4.1.1 #132

I have used for a few months your application openvpn for android" on Galaxy
SII and Galaxy Note 10.1 with android 4.0.4.
For authentication I use "login / password + android" and it worked very well.

Today I updated my android tablet note 10.1 to Android 4.1.1 and this does not
work anymore.I get a message (in French) "Unable to access certificates android
keychain".

I uninstall the application and clear all certificates, then reinstalled
everything and I still have the same problem.

Thank for you help

You probably hit the bug in 4.1 that if the certificate has any non alpha
numeric character (even space and -) the app cannot access the certificate.
Search in the issues history fir more details.

Hi,

Maybe a entry in the FaQ would be in order ? Such as

[Q] I imported my certificate in Android Jelly Bean, or just upgraded to Jelly
Bean, and OpenVPN complains about being "unable to access the android
keychain". Allowing the certificate again won't work
[A] Due to a bug in Jelly Bean, you should not use any non-alphanumeric
caracter in the certificate name when you import it.
