Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Set up a previously working OpenVPN configuration.
2. Run the profile
3. Backslash error pops up on the screen.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Connection to the VPN. Instead, I see the "Bad backslash" error on
android.conf:17

What mobile phone are you using?
HTC Inspire 4G on AT&T

Which Android Version and stock ROM or aftermarket like cyanogenmod?
Unofficial CyanogenMod 10.1 4.2.1

Please provide any additional information below.
It was working previously. No issues. However, I reconfigured it as per my
usual settings and it stopped working.
Another user running a stock rooted Samsung Galaxy S2 reported the issue as
well.

Somehting has gone wrong with your profile. Did you reimport the profile with
the new version or did you to try to use an existing profile from an old verson?

Reimporting/Recreating the profile should fix the bug for you.

I did not re-import the profile with the new version. I created a fresh profile
with the latest version of your app.

After another re-creation, I still have the same exact issue, unfortunately. I
re-created a fresh profile. The same error pops up on the screen. Is there
anything wrong with line no. 17 of the config file?! that is my certificate
file from my VPN provider.

I think the conf file keeps writing "\n" which OpenVPN doesn't like.

I think I fixed the bug. Try to reimport the profile with this version.

Fixed!! Now after inline import, it showed up as [[inline text]] on the Basic
Menu instead of the certificate contents. Cheers.
