This is fixed by 490c1cbf7ebdfeacb2f26dfc0a89289a717431a0. Turns out my git settings were adding the windows EOL characters, but this new .gitattributes file should ensure that is never a problem again.

In your releases, the files contain the ^M characters. I had to run the "dos2unix" utility to get them to work. You might want to fix that on your next release.
