Both messages received before the activation in loqui and later can't be displayed. Thanks very much for the work for porting to Ubuntu Touch!

Basically thanks for report! This thread will be some of the most important one. If this issue is resolved, that would be the ultimate start for Whatsapp on Ubuntu Touch. Hope that will happen with the implementation of noise protocol...

I am pretty sure this one would be fixed with the Noise Pipes based transport (which I am using for about 2 weeks now on my phone)... Only thing is my motivation for releasing it has gone down by quite a bit now... My understanding was that the current work for Ubuntu Touch was just for development purposes at this point (to enable developers to explore and debug further), but wasn't ready for release to a wider audience - it would have been nice if I had been consulted on this.

@nfsprodriver are you going to work on all those known issues?

Well, as I mentioned in the telegram group of the OpenStore: I'm not a developer or programmer. So the answer to your question to me would be: I'll do what I'm able to. The rebegin on Ubuntu Touch was to renew the apparmor to 1.3... So if I brought you into trouble bringing the app into the OpenStore, I'm sorry. My hope was or is to lift up the priority to port LoquiIM to Ubuntu Touch while FirefoxOS actually is dieing out. Maybe I could reach some new developers for Ubuntu Touch.

As you mentioned, you use the noise protocol on your phone. While it's in testing, I'd like to try it also on my Ubuntu Phone, when it's possible. :)

P.S.: At least this is the point to say thank you to put all the work into the development! Me and the whole OpenStore team are very lucky to see the app and the progress.

hello and thanks @cmeerw and @nfsprodriver for trying to make Loqui work to support Ubuntu touch. I will try to speak with @aesedepece and @obijuan (he worked at BQ) an see if they can provide some help.

Sounds good, thanks! This project seems to be idle for over a week. It's time to make a progress again :) I'll try to work at some things at the weekend.

. @gabriel-lucas showed me today an Ubuntu phone running Loqui. I'm really proud of the effort all of you as a community are putting on giving this project a new live on new platforms. This is pure libre software spirit at its best.

I'm just so sorry can't help at this time as other long-term projects are monopolizing my focus now. I wish I could help in the future :crying_cat_face:

@nfsprodriver, thanks for all the effort! I really think loqui m looks nice! Unfortunately, however, it still does not work. I see my conversations but can't select contacts, sent or receive messages due to decrypt error. I have waited for 4 days now .... see #1187

Meizu Pro 5, originally with Flyme os. I rooted this to Ubuntu Phone; now using OTA 13. I can't upgrade automatically as it is a rooted phone. Upgrades have to be done manually via a shell. For what devices/phones is it working!?

Hey all!! Loqui started to work :+1: . Brilliant! Really happy about it. Can receive pictures all be it at some intermediate resolution. Can't sent images.. This behavior is expected. Loqui works with with OTA15 and v0.5.11_1. It took 2 weeks before it started to work on the Meizu Pro 5. It might be that sending messages helps. The first message I could read was from someone who hadn't texted me for a couple of months. I hope this could help if you are facing problems; try getting a whatsapp message from a random person.
