I marked up the sample chapter for Sherlock using the elements and attributes we decided on during our last meeting. I added per and obj to the adjectives and adverbs so that we could divide them up later if necessary depending on what we decide to do with our data once the whole book is marked up. I am currently working on a schema to go along with this markup. I know we were supposed to do the schema first, but I felt like I would have to go back and redo the schema if I changed my mind about what I was marking up in the xml file. I have been working on an index page, but everything I have tried so far has not worked. I tried flex box and that didn't work, so after a significant amount of trial and error I decided another tactic. I shrank all of the images I wanted in the flex box and put them in a row under my title which worked. Then I tried to make them navigation buttons with drop downs and that didn't work. I copy and pasted the code from a tutorial on drop downs and changed the info to suit my page, but it didn't work. So, I am going back to the drawing board and will try something else. At this point, I think it might be best to use Lo's html doc and see if I can add to it. We'll see how it goes. I am making progress, but I need to move faster.
