Integrate APNdroid to automatically turn off data connection #13

It would be great if netsentry calls APNdroid (which should be possible
through their API) when the volume is at a specific level (maybe a new one,
or just an option when level reaches 99.9%)

What do you think?

See here for their API and project: http://code.google.com/p/apndroid/

That's just what I've been looking for...to actually limit the data to a
certain level,
then shut it down. My provider bills data usage above the data plan at really
STUPID
rates. I use WIFI for many things...as yet need to husband my "wirelss"
minutes for
phone function.

Thanks!!

First: Sorry for not replying earlier. I would love to have more to be working
on my
spare time projects...

Second: Thanks for the ideas and support guys - I really appreciate it. I'm
gonna have
a look into it :-)

If not by APN tinkering then via iptables. I'm given to understand not all
kernels support iptables, but does that mean one could not instead add modules
to compensate? This speculation is at the fringes of my ROM: kernel: radio
understanding.

Those who cannot use droidwall (iptables) can use LBE privacy guard.

Everyone (except currently ginger bread + can also use tasker)

These are all options to suspend mobile data use [selectively]... and block
adware (malware)
