Hello everyone I try to install v1 of touchegg in ubuntu 11.10 through the sudo
command, but it says command not found. This is what I type in into the
terminal. $ sudo apt-get install touchegg and I get command not found. Also I
know that a new gui for the new version is on the works. Keep up the good work.
I hope I get make my trackpad work with this program.

Are you putting the $ symbol in the terminal?? You only need to type "sudo
apt-get install touchegg" (without quotes) in the terminal

Is impossible to not have the sudo or the apt-get command in Ubuntu 11.10

that's weird, i could install it with that command, actually touchegg is also
found directly in the software center, but after I installed it i couldn't
find it.

You only need to click in the "Show tecnicall packages" in the bottom of the
software center after type Touchegg or Touchégg (I don't know) Anyway you can
type "touch" and press the button show X tecnical packages ;)

All is all right now?

I got it to work thanks. So now I need a gui.lol. So if I'm using v1 I can't
use a previous gui right. How do I configure my trackpad without a gui?

I'm noob on this, I still don't know how to configure my magic tracpad. Do I
have to enter a command to the terminal, or do I have to wait for the v1 gui.
Is it possible to use other versions instead in ubuntu 11.10 oneiric.

Only edit this file and restart Touchhégg with the comand `killall -9 touchegg
; touchegg`. The changes will be applied.. or wait for the GUI, but edit the
configuration file is very easy ;)
