Erratic behaviour of two fingers scroll in MacBook Pro 7.1 (Ubuntu Natty - Linux Mint 11) #119

The two fingers scroll doesn't seem to work well at all. First of all, the
scroll is inverted if I move to the bottom of the touchpad my fingers, the
scroll moves up. And when I move to the upper part of the touchpad the scroll
moves down.

Another issue is when I scroll down or to the top, when I am at the top of a
web and I scroll it up, the scroll goes crazy and starts scrolling up and down.

I am using Linux Mint 11 ( based on Ubuntu Natty) with touchegg v1

If you need some debug info ask me for it.

By the way, this is a great software and a great effort. Thank you!

Hi!!

I have never tested Touchégg in Linux Mind, anyway, if is like Ubuntu Natty,
probably you need to install this PPA:
https://launchpad.net/~utouch-team/+archive/daily

What method have you used to install Touchégg? Can you share your
configuration file please?

I have installed touchegg like in the doc:

Adding the utouch ppa to my repositories.
Downloading and installing touchegg-amd64 from the page.

My config of touchegg is tuned by me. I have modified the speed and the
inverted state for the scroll without effect.

Can you run Touchégg from a terminal (killall -9 touchegg ; touchegg) and show
what gestures are recognized??

In the order hand, is important to configure your synaptics driver with the
gpointing-devce-settings application to ensure that the configuration don't
interceps

Greetings!

It seems to be fully corrected with latest versions of utouch. This week,
utouch was updated from servers and now the two fingers scroll is working
perfectly.

Thanks for touchegg software again!
