I never use Gnome Shell, but I think that don't allow to use right click in the
desktop. You can configure it with "Gnome Tweak Tool" to allow create icons and
others

Yes it does, if I deactivate touchegg, it works fine. It seems to be a problem
with utouch, though. It doesn't report gestures properly with Gnome 3,
currently. So this is probably not a problem in touchegg.

Hi!
Can you run geistest in a terminal and make gestures over the desktop and other
windows?
Anyway you can deactive the Touchégg two fingers tap gesture and use the
native synaptics tap, the only problem is that you will have problem if you try
to use composed gestures with two fingers (tap&hold with two finger or double
tap with two fingers)

geistest does report the gestures, but they only work if the mouse ptr is above
windows. but the workaround with using the native two-finger-tap works, thanks

Thank you!
