Merge the main and gh-pages branches #21

Would merging the two branches make this easier to handle? It could be a bit confusing for new contributors, and the main branch currently doesn't have much in it other than project documentation. I suggest we:

  1. Merge gh-pages into main
  2. Set main as the branch being used to build the website
  3. Remove the gh-pages branch

Thoughts?
