directory names are singular nouns
where possible colocate related files
don't keep generalized source in directories for specific objects
keep hirachy of directories as flat as possible

If you say the path backwards it should sound like a reasonable noun for the file you are accessing.
ie: "Mob Spawner Mob Source File" - (src/mob/MobSpawner.gd)
This is not only a logically consistent framework for our project's filesystem organization; the convention provides natural pneumonics for remembering where things are or at least close to where they are at.
