Discovery: Easier Filter for Current and Recent Seasons #54

In the explorer tab you can already filter for a specific season and also the year you want to filter for. My issue is that it is still quite a hassle to see what is releasing in the current or coming seasons. The start year range thingy is a bit unhandy to use, when you only want a specific year. As far as I use it, when looking for something in regards to seasons, I want to see the current one, the coming ones and maybe the last few ones. An idea would be something like a season view where you can jump through the seasons relative to the current one.

Btw. I really appreciate the new design, especially that in discovery we now can see what the status of the entries are in regards to us, like planning, completet etc. Thank you!

I don't think a season view is needed, as a better year range picker should do the job. I will try playing with different pickers to see what will do this job well. A planned feature that is not entirely unrelated is a "schedule". Basically, a page where you can see what episode will air on which day. But it won't be about jumping through the different seasons, rather a weekly calendar.

I'm glad you like the app ^^

This is quite old now but I'd like to offer some input because this is something I would like to see.

I don't think options for previous seasons or upcoming seasons are worthwhile however I do think adding "current" and "next" to the Season section would be valuable. These are the most common filters and the section has ample space for them.

I find it a bit tedious to look up what the current season is and start/end dates when I want to see what's coming next. Being able to set 'current' or 'next' as independent filter options would improve the application a lot for me. Other than that the app is wonderful. Thanks for developing it.
