Can you please go further into your use case why you want this? Having the same Logo and Favicon seems intuitive to me..
I would like this function because our logo is not properly recognizable in the favicon. We have an eagle with the writing in its claws, but unfortunately this cannot be recognized as a favicon on any device, no matter how good the resolution is. This is why a logo with the three initial letters has now been designed and this can be recognized in the favicon field at any resolution, which is why I would like this function.
That sounds like primarily a problem with the logo.. Honestly, I could not read the text if I tried without zooming in..
I don't think that we NEED to make this configurable. If you/someone else wants to give this a shot, our contribution guide is here. With this FR (like with the others trying to add one more setting), the intuitiveness is my primary concearn. We already have more settings that I don't expect users to find.
Okay, well it's not a problem with the logo but the size, and it's partly due to the screen resolution, I would like this to be developed, with other logos that are made this is also partly a problem, which is why this would be good not only for me but also for other people.
We too would like them separate.
Personally, I pin various tabs to my browser. One of them is our retail website. Now that we've set up Kuma, another one is our Status page. When your browser has many tabs, it condenses them and obscures the tab name.
Having various tabs all with the same favicon means I have to either click or hover to see what it actually is, rather than instinctively knowing.

I would like to be able to set the site logo and the favicon separately next to the website title
