We have made some modifications to our fork of lovely.buildouthttp that I thought you might be interested in:
More ways in which to provide credentials; via a lovely.buildouthttp stanza in your cfg, and/or via a user prompt which, by default, is disabled.
Protected-extensions. Explained fully in https://github.com/isotoma/lovely.buildouthttp/blob/master/README.rst , this modification provides a means of downloading extensions using basic http authentication. Since the extensions are all downloaded prior to being installed, lovely doesn't have a chance to do its thing until it's too late. We have provided a means of overcoming this limitation.
If you choose to pull, please bear in mind we've bumped the version number a few times to 0.4.1-isotoma3, so you'll likely wish to discard such changes.
