Support for GitHub v3 API added. #7

Sorry guys, got a little impatient because our build system is effectively broken without it. These changes restore the original functionality using the GitHub v3 API.

Caveat: Users will need to request a new v3 API key for this to work; I suggested a straightforward means of doing so in the README.txt file using curl.
