roadmap for robotframework-androidlibrary? #42

Hi ,

I am thinking to implement this framework for Android mobile App testing in my org. But I need some answer before implementing it. Q 1) currently it is working only with only calabash-android version 0.3.2, is there any active development to support latest version of calabash-android versions 0.3.8? Q 2)will it work with latest Android SDK versions (Android 4.2 API 17)? Q 3) Will it work with latest JDK versions? Q 4) Will it work on 32 bit and 64 bit Windows OS? Q 5) Can we use this framework to execute automation on real devices? Q 6) Is there any forum or group to discuss issues regarding this library.

I will be very thankful to you, if you answer these questions.

Hey,

1) yes, we're aiming at calabash 0.3.x at the moment and we're using 0.3.8 in production. 2) i think so 3) yes 4) it's not a design goal, but we accepted windows-specific patches in the past and will continue to do so. fortunately we don't have a windows machine to test on. 5) yes, we're doing so with this library. just plug in your device via USB and adb will choose it as a target. 6) not yet. I think robotframework-users at https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups#!forum/robotframework-users is a good fit
