TP Link not working

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. My Samsung S4 android phone updated automatically to DD v30.31 and now the 
TP link wireless connection is not working. Cannot figure out what to do? Any 
suggestions?

Software works fine with the USB cable connection. I just cannot make the 
wireless router work as it was doing prior to the version upgrade.

Solved already:
A new version for OpenWRT (v ....0.12.bin ) as well DslrDashboard V0.30.33.apk

I downloaded the most recent software version as you suggested. My PC can
connect well with the router. My phone seems to connect to the router very
well. But, I still get the router not connecting to the D800E camera. I can
connect using the USB cable to the camera and DSLRDashboard is working
great that way. But, I cannot get the router to connect to the camera. I
don't understand what I may be doing wrong with the setting. I followed the
video explaination to the letter but still get the IO error. I may just
have to not use the router approach, but that means leaving the phone
directly connected via USB cable.

The earlier v30.30 was working. I know this is frustratiiing to you (and
me). I REALLY want this to work. But, I must have some setting that is not
correct. Any other setup script for me to follow?

PS. from DD software when I open the software and start the router it says
it is listening on 0.0.0.0.XXX and the software connection is trying to
connect to 198.168.1.1/24 Assume this is the problem but cannot figure out
how to fix this. Cannot seem to change this in the DD software and don't
see where I can set this in the router software either.

In the MR3040 web interface (http://192.168.1.1) please check under 
'System->Software' what version is the ddserver package.
When you connect to MR3040 from your Android device what is the MR3040 SSID? 
After the update it should be 'DDServerAP'.
You don't need to press the 'Connect to server' or the 'Start server' buttons, 
these are for connection sharing from DslrDashboard. You only need to press the 
'Connect to OpenWrt/Linux' button. With the new version, after you press the 
'Connect to OpenWrt/Linux/ button you will get a list with the names of camera 
that are connected to MR3040. You must press the camera name to establish a 
connection.

ddserver package version is 0.2-12 & the SSID=DDServerAP

I don't seem to be able to get my Samsung S4 phone to stay connected to the
router even though it see's it can will initially connect. Also, from the
DD software short pressing the 'Connect to OpenWrt/Linux' button does
nothing and long pressing brings up the connect to 192.168.1.1 which
results in the IO connection error as before.

When I originally got the router I used the factory upgrade and then the
sys upgrade to get it to work. Is thatsomething I should do or would using
the factory upgrade at this point kill the router?

You need only the sysupgrade image.
Be sure you download the right 'sysupgrade' depending on your routers version 
(V1, V2)
Then follow the steps as described here:

I tried to reset the router and after 20 minutes of the  leds flashing once
in awhile I stopped it. Nothing was happening. Seems I cannot get the
router to reset. I tried 2 more resets with the same result. I do have the
correct firmware v2 on the router, but at this point I am about to give up
making this work. The router does connect to my PC very well and I
seemingly can do anything I want with it. It even shows my Android S4 phone
as having connected, but it doesn't connect from the DD software. (IO
error).

I can/have been able to make the DD software work with the USB connection
and maybe that is what I will have to be satisfied with unless there is
something else you can think for me to do.

I followed those instructions and the router would not reset! As I stated
earlier, I connect from the PC & Samsung S4 phone but not from the DD
software. Maybe the router is not working at this point as I cannot get it
to reset, period!

As long you can access the web interface the router is working, period!

Under System->Software what is the ddserver package version?
What is the access point ssid? DDServerAp?
Is your S4 wireless connected with the router?
Is your camera connected to router with USB (pluged into the USB port without 
an OTG adapter)?
Are you using the latest DslrDashboard version? V0.30.33 ?

Btw, are you pressing the 'Connect to OpenWrt/Linux' button? YES, but
nothing happens.  If I long press, it shows it is trying to connect to
192.168.1.1 (as you suggested) .

 It should display the list of connected cameras to the MR3040, and you
should press on it to make the connection with it. I do not get a list, but
with the camera connected to the router the bottom LED does become lit.

Additional info: I am using the Samsung S4 phone with Android 4.3.
                         If I do push the start server in DD software I get
"Server listening on 0.0.0.0.4757; I am not using this anyway as you
suggested I should just press the 'Connect to OpenWrt/Linux' button. But,
if the software is trying to connect to 192.168.1.1. and the server is
listening on something else, maybe that is the issue?

If you just press the 'Connect to OpenWrt/Linux' button it will send out a 
multicast message and if it gets answer from ddserver it will connect to that 
address.

If you long press the 'Connect to OpenWrt/Linux' button it will show you a 
dialog where you can enter the IP of the ddserver. It show '192.168.1.1' as 
that is the default value but it has nothing to do when you single press the 
button.

Write me an email and I will send you some screen shoots from the OpenWrt 
settings.

After working for several hours with Zoltan, we were able to determine that the 
MR3040 router with DD V30.33 software is working properly, but that the 
connection problem I was having was due to settings on my Samsung S4 phone. 
What I needed to do to get the phone connecting to the router was the following:

settings>WiFi  : turnoff "Notify Me" and "Auto connect" features
 then

setting>WiFi>Advanced :  then Turnoff "Wi-Fi Notifications" and Turnoff "Auto 
network switch"  

By  turning off these options I was able to connect to the router & when I 
opened the DSLRDashboard and pushed the "Connect to OpenWrt/Linux" I could see 
my Nikon D800E. Touching the camera name opened the Live View window and then I 
could use the rest of the software features.
