Broken Mobile #29

The current version of Master is not working on my phone any longer. Also, you may want to consider changing the popup window to display vertically instead of out the side, because on my tablet it is getting cut off due to how you have the map centering on the icon and not the popup. Tablets aside, if you want to make this mobile phone accessible you will need to have the popup display on the top of the icon and center on a point about 50 pixels above the icon.

«not working on my phone any longer» can you be more specific pls?

Also, with the next BWE coming really soon, I'm focusing on chrome, safari and firefox browsers, so bug in other platform may occurs. I'm gonna focus on them after we've implemented main features of the app.

I am using the default Android browser. The map does not load past the loading icon. In fact, the icon seems to freeze and nothing loads after that. Perhaps it is an issue with the locally stored data not being able to save to the phone? I will mess around with the browser settings and see if I can get some other result.

Must be the local storage, i'll check it out! Thanks for the feedback!

@CrankyOldMen Do you think that centering the map on the popup should fix the second issue?

CrankyOldMen commented 12 years ago

It might, but it would make for an odd user experience on mobile and tablets due to the amount of vertical space on those devices. Not to mention that mobile apps tend to scroll up or down so people are used to that, which means anything besides that will feel out of sorts.

I tested it on the mobile version of firefox, at it does indeed load the map tiles, though there are other oddities that seem to be more related to the browser and not the map. As you said, I would not worry about the mobile stuff right now. :)

Same thing with my opera mobile on android: can't move the map or click anything
