Performance enhancement: Create markers only when toggle is asked #53

Can you set the markers to only show starting on zoom level 4 (one out from being fully zoomed in) on a region by region basis? This would allow you to reduce the size of the icons them selves, so they do not clutter up so much, and would allow you to load more icons by default. What do you think? Is that even possible?

This is possible but since we often have more than one area (that's how we call region in the project) visible on the screen at the same time this requires more thoughts to come with something good (= benchmarking maybe).

By the way, I support this idea.

Marker clustering perhaps? Google Maps API has to have a way to only render the markers in the field of view.

I am just a user experience and ideas man, who is just getting into the coding game, but I will help out in what ever way I can. I would love to get into a Google+ Hangout with you two and bound some ideas off you guys. I think the WvW map project could be like nothing anyone has seen, and I think a lot of my design ideas could translate to the PvE map.
