...I am reading elsewhere that the newer RM3's have a different auth mechanism than the older ones. If this is true then I suspect this plugin will not work at all with new RM's until it is updated.
I just got two RM3 devices for my house, and they’re connected fine with Homebridge. However, I found a fork of this plugin that may be what allows them to work (I use it also for better AC and TV type support). Also, at first they still weren’t working. What I eventually learned was to set them up in the Broadlink app (iOS) up until the part where you assign them to a room. At that point cancel out of setup, but then Homebridge will see them. If they’re already set up, reset them and go through this procedure. Basically, you use the Broadlink app to get them on your WiFi, but then leave them at that point so that Homebridge has access to them.
Been using this for a while with an RM3, works fine. Got another RM3, and with this one the plugin tells me it cannot find the device when I issue a command. Only thing I can see different is that the new one seems to be on a different firmware (both are updated to their respective latest). Has anyone seen this?
