Soldier switch after death #156

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Enter battle with enemy
2. Player character dies in battle
3. Player controls transferred to another soldier

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected output would be to immediately start playing with the soldier.
Instead, soldier plays "fall down from a horse" animation even if he doesn't
have a horse, making him vulnerable for a few seconds before starting to fight.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Tested on M&B Warband 1.153 and M&B Warband 1.154 Win7 64bit

Please provide any additional information below.

Your demonic soul possession of one of your soldiers caused him to fall down :P

But seriously, the engine is limited and never where intended for such feature.
So if you posses a troop that is naturally a cavalry type, but current did not
have the horse(in a siege or it was killed), glitches like these can occur.
Sadly, it's probably not possible for us to avoid them.
