Uncooperative wife :(

My wife moved to a Sarai when my capitol is Kiev without me doing anything. 
Defected lords still meet me at Kiev but I have to ride all the way to Sarai to 
give them a fief. I tried moving our residence and waiting two weeks but she 
still stays in Sarai. I tried firing her from being my assistant she still 
doesn’t move. I rehired her, and well she is still there. Because she is in 
Sarai I can’t move our residence there and make it the capitol so this is a 
pain.

What steps will reproduce the problem?

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I want my wife to stay at the Capitol

Don’t know if this is relevant, but Sarai is a lot more prosperous.
