Start and stop charging #25

Great app, thanks for the effort.

Is it possible to add a card: Than: Start charging Stop charging ? With that card, the car can starts charging when the energy price is low and stop when a certain level is achieved.

I would love that as well. For now I haven't found API to do that, it is also an indication that the API does not exist yet, as it is not also available on the mobile app. I manually change my scheduled charging for this.

I have the Tibber app and this app has a connection with BMW connected, too. It sets the charging window in the car so that it will charge only within this window. May be that is possible with the API, as Tibber can do this was well?

Setting a charging window to start stop charging is a nice workaround. However, this might not be the ideal solution as I do not want anything to overwrite the schedule that I created. I saw there is a API to start and stop. This might not be available to all cars. Will try to add this feature sometime soon and see if it is used. I am thinking newer cars with BEV might have this. I drive a PHEV and that does not have this feature so I cannot test it.

@BBEHannes can you share the model and manufacture year of your car. I plan on releasing a test version in a week or 2.

Hi. No haven't been able to create a branch. With work newborn have been all over the place. The next two weeks cant hopefully after that will be able to find some time to take a look into it. Will post an update in this topic.

I want to use the Homey BMW connection for the use case "smart charging" and adjust the charging power. If solar power is going to the grid (SMA HM2.0) then I could adjust the charging power from 6 A to 32A based on pv generation.

The charging ampere 6-32 should be a variable to select for a flow!
