10 months ago - [x] Can we shorten the number of catalog searches we do in order to obtain images of a variable star?
- [x] Related to the above, but unique - currently we're doing one SQL search, I need to shorten the amount of returned information to what we're actually using. Or keep it the exact same as the tutorial we're taking it from?
- [x] It would be amazing if the notebook always selected the same variable star and the same moments in time and sent the same exact images in the tutorial. Currently, I'm doing this by selecting by index but I'd like to select exact MJD so that if data is added in the historical record this doesn't modify the selection.
- [x] Is there a way to do this without the truth matching catalog (which is not used in the other variable star notebook tutorials?
- [x] We need to consider if we also want to send a data table or a lightcurve. Or if there's some Zooniverse functionality we should be using to take in tabular data and make it into a plot. This feels like it needs to be a discussion that includes some of the Zooniverse-facing members of the team.
- [x] Add descriptive text for why we're doing what we're doing. Refer a lot to the other notebook tutorials (so probably needs to closely follow them).
- [x] Add descriptive text for why we are doing calexp instead of deepcoadd images (because of specific visits).
- [ ] Add these utility functions to utils (get Eric to help with this)
- [ ] Pedagogical adjustments
