Specifically to create new 4MOST target catalogues for their simulation analysis.
Deadline for this is 04/SEP/22.
In the FY22 Annual Evaluation this is referred to as "Analysis of the results of the Baselinev2+4MOST simulations to see the impact of each survey’s strategy and report back our findings to each community. These simulations will
also include an LSST-driven observing plan." in the plan for Oct'22 to Dec'22
as reported in the June'22 quarterly update this task continues in the July to September plan
the July to September'22 quarter will see 4MOST develop a more mature simulation structure.
[x] This will require the new target catalogues(see ticket description above) . The new target catalogues created, will be based on the latest baseline2 and rolling_cadence2 LSST strategies.
[ ] A tool will also be developed to create an observing guide for 4MOST. This software tool will take the LSST strategies and create a time-dependent map of where 4MOST should point on a given night. This will enable 4MOST to constantly have a fresh set of transients to observe by minimising the time spent in fields that do not have recent LSST observations.
as per AE FY22 the task involves "Analysis of the results of the Baselinev2+4MOST simulations to see the impact of each survey’s strategy and report back our findings to each community. These simulations will also include an LSST-driven observing plan."
