In scenario B, I presume that the sentence
As per Scenario A, the operations team may decide to first conduct a full dress rehearsal of science operations to demonstrate team readiness prior to commencing execution of the LSST.
means that the project may decide to spend up to a maximum of 2 months collecting more on-sky data
and do scenario A before starting normal operations. Is my understanding correct? If yes, maybe make this sentence more explicit? Furthermore, I do not understand how these definitions of scenarios A and B are compatible with the sentence further down :
The DP2 data products will be the same irrespective of which scenario materializes; only the timing of the release of DP2 and the start of the 10-year survey are different between the two scenarios.
I am confused by the sentence "This includes the commissioning period and the first year of survey operations" If early science includes everything "through and including DR1", it corresponds to the first 6 months of survey operations, doesn't it? I understand that it will take 6 months of processing to get to DR1 release, but the data taken during this processing phase (which would correspond roughly to the second semester of year 1) will be part of DR2.
