Feature Request: As a EML provider, I would like to have to enter EML content in DEIMS #55

Many LTER sites and other Ecological research organizations serve metadata in XML format that complies with the Ecological Metadata Language. It would be nice to insert content automatically in DEIMS for those individuals and organizations that already have encoded data set information using EML.

the following module is a rough approach to address this issue, and quite a few things are customized for the MCM stack, but the gist of it is here.

The module above is a good effort to accomplish the task at hand, however, due to differences in how EML is implemented, there would have to be customization work.

I am closing the issue because this is a good point as for how far can be this effort taken -- it is on a level that affords a migration specialist to adapt to new groups.
