Hello, I had the same problem and searched for a long time. At the end the only 
solution for me was to right click the itch-sync-0_1_4.jar file and select 
"open with>>select default program...", then pick "Java(TM) Platform SE 
Binary". After that it worked perfectly. Problem was that when I double clicked 
the jar file it opened with Izarc, if I right clicked and selected open with 
java, it gave the error. Only when re-associating the .jar with the Java 
platform did it work properly.

I'm not having the same problem but have yet to get it resolved. I upgraded to MacOS Big Sur. I can't get it to work. HELP....
